Howdy Everyone!
Quick review for you guys today. I’ve been working this magic stuff on my cheeks for over a month now, and as promised on my Instagram way back: I’m going to review it for you all!
This is my very first time using a cheek stain, so I was super excited when Sephora popped this in the mail to me after their blowout end of summer sale. I think I got this for around $10, but if you act fast this is still available on Tarte’s website for only $15. (And I really do recommend acting fast as this is amazing.)
The ‘cheek tint’ essentially is a long-lasting stain, but don’t worry…NOT permanent. This will give you a full day of beautiful rosy cheeks and then wash off with no problem when you are finish with it. The color I have is ‘Deep Berry’ which when used is a nice deep pink. The nice thing about this product is, you can go very light or build a lot of it on for a more dramatic effect. I feel like you get a little bit more control with this product than you would a powder blush.
To apply this, I would recommend using a brush. I use a M.A.C. 180, which is a flat-top duo fibre brush that they sold to me for foundation but as I didn’t really like it as a foundation brush I’m happy to find it’s perfect for a product like this.
Before purchasing this, I had never used anything from Tarte. Now, I’m a sold fan. At the same time I bought this I also purchased some eyeshadow from them and those are also wonderful. You know when you have never heard much about a word, then suddenly hear about it nonstop? Well, that’s sort of how it’s been with me an Tarte the last two months and I’m excited to be able to join in the conversation a little with this review.
So, if you are in the market for a new cheek product to rosy up apples, try this out! I promise you will not regret it. Also, if you have any other suggestions of great cheek stains let me know 🙂
xoxo

Hmm I might have to look into this! I’ve been looking for a new blush.

Great tip on the brush, I’ve been using a beauty blender sponge to apply products like that! It looks such a gorgeous colour 🙂
