In an understated collection of natural tones, Chloe hit the runway Sunday at Paris Fashion Week with fresh looks that just ooze ease and simplicity. True to the brand, it’s an understated collection that has a real feel of the day to day looks of French style (not surprising, as this is obviously Paris but yea..still!). These are all very minimal looks but not in the way of boring. Instead, they embody a regal elegance that’s effortless.
I really love the ruching on several pieces. We’ve seen a lot of pleats this season, so this is new look while staying in the same family. Perhaps my favorite of this collection though are the crochet sundresses in blue. I really love the openness of those for a summer day. They’re so perfect for summer I could even see them working over a bathing suit.
It is nice to see Chloe play around with blue a bit for this Spring collection. I think their spring collections of the past have focused very heavily on neutral tones, so it’s a refreshing change to see a splash of color coming down the runway of a Chloe show. The print used as well is really lovely and I love seeing it used in a range of looks ranging from a sundress to trousers.
Are you liking this collection or is it too minimalistic for you?
