The Burberry Holiday 2016 Festive Makeup collection is so good, I simply had to show you: stat.
Best of 2014 : 10 Biggest Fashion Moments
2014 was a big year in fashion, on the runway and the red carpet. Designer fashion took a whole new – much sportier – approach and thanks to Moschino reached grocery store and Barbie aisle proportions. A new fashion starlet was born, Rhianna continued to wow-onlookers and Cate Blanchett remained perfect. Models returned to the cover of Vogue and Kardashian Kendall Jenner became the most hyped model on (and off) the runway. There was also a lot of turnover in big fashion names with departing creative directors at Louis Vuitton and Gucci, as well as the tragic loss of greats Oscar de la Renta and L’Wren Scott.
We had A LOT to buzz about in 2014! To honor such a fantastic year, I’ve put together my 10 Favorite Fashion Moments of the year, and invite you to do the same!
LFW : The Worst Spring 2015 Looks of London Fashion Week
Oh lord. For a while, I thought better of making a Worst Looks of London Fashion Week post. I didn’t for New York Fashion Week and I remember my Fall 2014 collection kind of picked on someone at LFW *cough* Vivienne Westwood *cough*. In an effort to remain kind and neutral I was exercising a great level of restraint.
But then the Meadham Kirchhoff show happened and all niceness went out the window! Then again, maybe not. I mean, I really could have picked only looks from that collection as my worst – but then that would be mean, right? 😉 Obvs I am not mean. Obvs!
And so what we’re left with is a collection of looks from around London Fashion Week that are a bit, well: ODD!
LFW : Best Spring 2015 Looks of London Fashion Week
Happy Wednesday my fashionable dreamers. Today is the official kick of Milan Fashion Week, which is OHMYGOODNESS my favorite of all the fashion weeks. So, I am quite thrilled about that! Even more thrilling, is that there were some mind-blowing collections that hit the London Fashion Week runways. I know, I didn’t quite keep up with my coverage as well as I did for NYFW, but believe me when I say: the struggle was real!
But there will be no whining in this post! No. Only beautiful, mystical, colorful and brilliant Spring 2015 fashion, featuring some collections you may have guessed and some you may have not. Let’s get started! *drum roll*
LFW : Burberry Dumps the Trench for Spring 2015 Collection
Something a bit shocking happened at the Burberry Spring 2015 Collection shown at London Fashion Week, the trench took a backseat to the denim jacket. It’s that 90’s trend that just keeps on kicking, and apparently pairs well with everything, at least according to Burberry who had a wide color palette.
It was a collection of tulle and denim, with gorgeous water colors cascading down the runway. The already iconic custom Met Gala gown worn by Suki Waterhouse shines through as the blueprint to some really soft and whispy silhouettes. And of course, Waterhouse herself was the star of the show. (Sort of a bit of a shock to see no Cara DeLevingne in sight.)
