We’re just two short weeks away from Christmas and there’s a lot of holiday shopping left to do!
Howdy, ho! As I write this, I’m currently over-caffeinated at the Honda dealership awaiting a car repair. As is my luck, the mechanic who diagnosed my problem last week – “misdiagnosed” it and they ordered the wrong part. If you know anything about me, this should come as very little surprise. Of course, it also took them about 90 minutes to discover that – hence, I’ve had A LOT of time to enjoy their free *unlimited* coffee and peruse my emails.
The good news? If you still have a lot of your holiday shopping left, you can score some major deals this weekend. For me that’s actually great news as I have accomplished approximately zero holiday shopping thus far. Woopsies! Silly ole’ me has been far too busy watching Hallmark movies and decorating to worry about a lil’ think like holiday gift shopping.
This weekend, I’ll be working hard on making my way down my Christmas shopping list and here are the best holiday shopping sale codes so you can too! But! I thought it was a bit lame to only do that, so to make it a little more fun – I’m going to name my 10 favorite Christmas movies. (Yes, you can tell the boredom is seeping in really deep here at Honda.)
Here goes! These are my favorite holiday films.
1. Holiday Inn
A true holiday classic! While many love White Christmas, my favorite of all is the original Holiday Inn.
2. Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (Of course!)
3. A Christmas Promise
New to Hallmark this year and sure to be repeated about a dozen times, at least.
4. 12 Dates of Christmas
This one is on Netflix. It’s a holiday version of Groundhog Day starring a grown up Zack Morris and is precious.
5. A Christmas Story (For obvious reasons.)
6. Borrowed Hearts
From the 90’s. A charming film about a businessman hiring a factory worker and her daughter to pose as his wife and child during the holidays.
7. The Christmas List
A classic television holiday film from the nineties. A department store perfume clerk drops her Christmas List in Santa’s gift box and magically everything comes true!
8. Home Alone
A true holiday staple. There’s something about Home Alone that begs me to watch it while in Christmas PJs, eating pizza. KEVIN!
9. The Christmas Box
If you have Hulu (or even if you don’t) I HIGHLY suggest this one. A couple and their young girl move into assist and older lady in her beautiful historic mansion. She’s prickly at first and stand-offish, but warms to the family and a beautiful story about her past and the Christmas Box that hides away in her attic unfolds.
10. Christmas Vacation
My whole life, I’ve always kind of wanted to be a Griswold and it all began with this movie.
