In a collection that’s both simplistic and feminine, Jasper Conran kicked off London Fashion Week with a bang. Of all the fashion weeks, London is the one I’m least familiar with and I’m pretty blown away. He brought traditional styles to the modern day runway with fresh looks that captured my attention from start to finish. Jasper Conran’s a brand that started in the late 70s, so they’ve been around the block once or twice and definitely have clean lines down to an art.
Who doesn’t love a good collar? Who doesn’t love navy? Meet the perfect combination of the two. In a pant, dress, and short looks…Jasper Conran makes deliciously and prim fashions that would never go out of style. These each have a really nice structure to them with a sturdy fabric. I honestly wouldn’t know which of these looks to try to steal off a model first! I just covet how ladylike these are, and very nautical.
Similar to the navy, this collection visits classic white in these like-wise very nautical looks. I’m always a fan of an a-line skirt and the texture and crispness of these are something I think any girl would want in their spring/summer wardrobe. I especially love the the right look with sheer panes that add a depth of sexiness while remaining traditional.
Spring will be very happy to see these soft print dresses. Don’t these just scream Easter Sunday to you? (In the best way, of course!) The prints are soft and subtle, yet fun and I really love the waistlines. These are good clean fun and I’m ready to pack my Easter basket already 🙂
These cool dresses for summer are also a lot of fun. I love the dandelion yellow. It’s a muted yellow that you don’t often see, very warm. As well I really cannot get enough of these collars. Collars are a hot trend for fall that I’m loving and I’m super excited to see a spring collection that’s packed with them. Collars are just so girlie in the best way possible. Collars! Collars! Collars!
And of course, no collection is complete without a bit of black and white…and these mixed prints are delicious. I’m really in love with the Aztec print of the right skirt. I think you could dress that up or down in a variety of ways. You could also pair it with color if you like. It’s just really versatile. The chest-plate of the left dress is also really interesting. It has the appearance of lace to it which of course makes me happy. Of all the black and white we’ve seen so far in Spring 2014 collections, I believe these two are some of my favorites. It’s taking a traditional and very popular color combination to new heights with these geometric prints and clean lines.
So how much do you love this collection? Pretty fabulous isn’t it? Thank you Jasper Conran for making me really excited for spring. These are girlie-girl fashions that are fresh and playful. And collars!! I cannot tell you how happy collars makes me!
